Question Compressing XA Audio Files

Is it possible to compress XA files to a smaller size, some games have about 460MB worth of XA files and I'd like to shrink them down so that the ISO file is only 100-250MB.

AFAIK, if you do this, then the PSX or emulator wont be able to read the files.

Sorry, I meant if there was a program that could lower the bitrate of the audio, not compress it like a zip or rar. I found a program called Xantippe that decodes XAs but I can't find one that encodes them.

I'm hoping to decode them to WAV or MP3 and then lower the bitrate, and then encode them at the lower bitrate so they take up less space. Maybe at about 96k/sec.

Ok, I downloaded it and managed to get a 65,273k file down to 11,951k! But when I try to write the new XA (or any other file) to the ISO using MagicISO it saves but then epsxe won't load the ISO (black screen). I think this is a subchannel problem and I've tried making a SBI and M3S file and writing them to the root directory of the ISO but the same problem keeps croping up when ever I save an ISO in MagicISO, the ISO won't load and needs to be re-made.
