Segmentation fault on 2.6.16.xx kernel builds

Just recently I updated my kernel from 2.6.15 to 2.6.16. After the update I was unable to initialize the emulator. The epsxe front end loads up, the plugin test pass successfully but when you load the bios, iso or CD the emulator Segment faults. I ran a strace and script to track down problem, but nothing out of the ordinary showed up. I rebooted into the previous 2.6.15 kernel build and it works flawlessly. My specs are as follows:

Tyan Thunder K8W S2885
Opteron 242
4GB
Geforce 6800 128MB AGP
Fedora 4

Epsxe plugins used:
libgpuPeteXGL2.so.2.0.8
libpadJoy-0.8.so
libspuPeopsOSS.so.1.0.9

The attached file is the strace output in zip format.
