epsxe crashing,seems related to msvcrt.dll, help!

i have tried 1.52 and 1.60, and have no problem with plugins.
however, before entering the game, epsxe.exe crashed.
here is the log before crashing
* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.6.0.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\scph7502.bin].
* Init Core W2k cdrom ... * First/Last track: 1 1
* Track 1: (DATA) - Start 0: (00,02,00) - Length 69:11
J] ok
* NTSC cdrom detected.
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.

and here is the error reported by winxp sp2
AppName: epsxe.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVer: 7.0.2600.2180 Offset: 00037c7e

I have tested different versions of msvcrt.dll including 1998-06-17 and 2004-08-17. I put the dll file under c:\windows\system and the epsxe folder.

I have done my best, but still can't figure it out, can anyone help please?

Try updating your graphic card drivers.
Using SaPu's CDR plugin might help.
