Sound problems

I am having sound problems and to my last post. I now borrowed the game from my friend and am sticking the CD into the drive. I am not getting any sound. Any ideas?

make sure the top 3 boxes under Config-->Sound are checked.

and did you really borrow the game? i'll have to trust you on this one

well I figured not having the real thing would be the source of the sound problem

I got:

Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15
Enable Sound (checked)
Enable CDDA Sound (checked)
Enable XA Sound (checked)

And its still not working.
