dex drive is screwing up or maybe it me...

Hello
recently I got myself I dex drive thinking it would be a nice idea if I could play my saved games from psx on epsxe but now I am a bit scared of trying anything because for some reason it erased all the data I had on my card, then I tried to get the "my back up" file and it was also empty. I got Aldo's mem card convereter but in none of the GME files I made have any file stored in them. I am totally new to dex drives and the rest of this stuff so please be patient with me.
