1.6 crashing

I'm trying to play my tekken 3 cd but epsxe keeps crashing. *no warez links kthx* but is there any way to check them to see if they work? The cd is clean and there's few scratches on it. I also tried lots of plugins and get the same thing. Is there any recommended plugins for a medium/high end system: athlon 2800xp, 1 gig mem, nvidia 6800GT 256mb's mem?

try using Pete's OGL2 with the nice preset, Eternal 1.41 for sound and Peops, Sapu's, or Xeven's for CD.

when it crashes, what is the error?

It would just freeze up. I would have to cntrl+alt+del to exit out. Maybe it's the CD, i tried making an iso but it would take forever.

What does the message say? Is it in the console window or a pop-up window?

i downloaded version 1.4, the error message does'nt show up anymore but the game won't run.sometimes it would but would eventually stop responding when it gets to the introduction screen.sometimes it would'nt even run at all. i get this message in the console window,

*running epsxe emulator version 1.4.0
*memory handlers init.
*epsxe: psx bios loaded [bios\dtlh3000.bin].
*init cdrom ... [*cdrom open... ok
*doing init gpu...
*gpu open...
*direct input init ok.
*force ntsc cdrom detected.
*closing gpu...
*shutdown gpu...
opcode 16 unk (pc 00010004) (53,226)

anyone know what this is?i'm trying to run gran turismo.

Can be many things. Anyway, you should keep on using 1.6.0, previous versions have serious problems running GT2. Playing from cd or iso? If iso, try remaking it. If cd, try making an iso with clonecd, maybe your cd is scratched and that's why it gets read errors. CloneCD has excellent error recovery, so might be able to create a good iso. Also, did you try peops gpu plugin? Different cd plugins (being peops, xeven's and sapu's the ones i'd suggest to try first)?
