Black Screen of Death

Hey ya'll, so I have epsxe 1.60 all configured (bios and plugins) and I have Mortal Kombat Trilogy in my cd-rom drive, but when I hit Run CD-ROM, the screen flashes to black and stays black...nothing happens...

does anyone know why this might happen?

here are my specs:
IBM T40 Laptop
1.5 GHZ
512MB
ATI Mobile Radeon 7500

Plugins - Pete's D3D 1.75, epsxe CDR ASPI Core 1.5.2

never mind, got it to work w/ a different cd rom plug in!
