Question sound fx but no music?

i have emulated gta, got the video and s fx but no gta music, does any one know why please?

go to Config--->Sound and check off the top 3 boxes.

are you playing from ISO or CD?

If you haven't connected the audio cable from the back of your CD ROM drive to the aux input on your soundcard, do so.

get Mooby's CDR plugin. when you use that plugin, go to Run-->CDROM and then you can pick the ISO that way.

ok i ran moobys cdrom plugin and picked the gta image, selected run cdrom
and the dos box started running and just stayed black. iam trying it again as i
write this thread, most perplexing.

i havent got the original cd as it died, do'es this make a difference. i'm running it off "grand theft.img", and back up cdrom in the drive?

well it might have CDDA format (probably not though..) which the PSX ISO loader doesn't load for some reason.

whats all that then, when i tryed to run it from back-up cdrom it crashed, and i had to restart the machine! the game runs perfectly though from iso but with no music.

well IIRC the music absolutely sucks, so it's not that big of a deal, is it?

what CD plugin are you using? try Peops, Sapu's, and Xeven's, in that order.

sapu's autodetects, so just pick the drive and it does the rest
