I think you should use an external gamepad configurator. Try this one: Click Here Let me know if I'm right

Well, readme states that "This application specifically targets Joystick devices. Mouse and Keyboard devices will not register (outside of the above notice), and should be set
through ePSXe's internal configuration utility." My problem is a little bit different: as I press "enter" after (or even without) setting the cursor in order to change the button, all buttons get the default values, except for the "Y", which becomes "Enter" or "Return". So is there any way to solve this problem? |

Oh... sry... well im not sure about that problem as i've never had to use the gamepad... good luck w/ ur problem

WARNING: Messing with the registry is not for begineers. If you are unsure of what you are doing, just forget this.
Open the registry editor (Start->Run, type"regedit", press enter). HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\epsxe\config\Keys1 <- There you should have your current key configuration stored. You can manually put the scan codes there. To know wich one is, compare the scan codes already stored to the keys you have configured.
