Problems running/configuring ePSXe under Linux
I'm using a recent install of sarge(testing) Debian. I downloaded and unpacked the latest version of ePSXe from the official website. I downloaded and unpacked the following plugins:
P.E.O.P.s Soft GPU SDL P.E.O.P.s Linux OSS SPU CDR Mooby Linux padJoy(installed, not compiled) and moved them into the plugins directory. I downloaded them from the ngemu website. I also downloaded the bios 1001 and 7502 and moved them into the bios directory. After this, I am having major trouble configuring ePSXe. The only thing I can properly configure is the bios. When I go into the configuration screen for the bios, I am able to select scph7502(or SCPH1001 if I go out and back into the directory) and choose it. BUT, in the configuration screen for the CDROM, there is no select button. There is only a white text box with "bios/scph1001.bin" filled into it. Manually typing in "plugins/libcdrmooby-2.8.so" does not change anything. When I try to configure the Sound or the Video, ePSXe closes. The error the terminal gives me is: plugins/libcdrmooby-2.8.so: undefined symbol: XftDrawSetClip It is the same error for the sound and the video. Any help is much appreciated. I know that the error might mean that I need to get a different CDROM plugin, but I'm not sure. I'd also like to know if you are supposed to be able to select a CDROM plugin. Thank you! |
