epsxe 1.5.2 rumble problem

hey, i've got a ps2 dual shock2 contoller and an s-joy titanium (ps2/ps-pc usc) converter.
everything works fine, including vibration, in the drivers config, pc games, project64 and epsxe 1.6.0.

the problem is, that vibration doesn't work in epsxe 1.5.2. i've got it configured the same way as in 1.6.0 .

Type: (in 1.6.0) DxJoy1 / (in 1.5.2) DirectX
Big motor: constant
Small motor: sine

but any game i start in 1.5.2 in the games options menu, vibration is turned off and i can't access it to turn it on; like it doesn't recognize the controllerers vibration support. in 1.6.0 everything works fine and i can turn the vibration on.

any help?

just wanna bump/mirror this as its kinda old and i can't find any other threads exactly like it...

i've got pretty much the same config/problem - 1.6.0/1.5.2/smart joy ps-usb/directx rumble type.

in 1.5.2 with final fantasy 9 the vibration option is just grayed out, works fine in 1.6.0 but then ff9 doesn't

vibration is a pretty sketchy thing with ePSXe anyway...i suppose you can try a pad plugin in PSXeven if you want.

to be honest, rumble on the PSX was never that exciting, and ePSXe compatibility is fairly low. i really dont know why you'd be trying to get rumble to work, honestly...

hey, don't knock the rumbles, they've kinda spiffy, even if they're not that great through a pc (though maybe it's just been so long since i used a PS that i've forgoten what the vibration on there was like). and it took me so long to set up epsxe i dunno if i could face getting another emulator working.

you can always try using an xbox controller. the adapter is fairly easy to make and it works well in all the emulators i use it with. all buttons and pads and rumble is fully supported and customizable. i think that would be a good idea for testing or using in epsxe. the dual-shock rumble just seems to finicky on the psx controllers. and as stated above psx didnt have really great rumble anyhow.
