I have a question here that hopefully someone can solve. This is the first time that this problem has happened to me and I haven't been able to find a solution on this or any forum.
Whenever I go to start up a game, the game plays, but all the audio is garbled. You can hear all the sound effects except it seems like they are either being played really slowly or something. It's a bit hard to describe. The plugin I am using is P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.7 and the first three checkboxes are checked in the sound configuration menu. I've installed the newest sound drivers for my computer (Onboard C-Media), and even installed an older version to see if that was the case and no luck. Here is an interesting point that may help with the solution: This never happened until I installed Far Cry. Hopefully someone can come up with a solution, and I will be overjoyed if one is found.

The problem was fixed by setting the SPUasync mode to Wait then turning off the framelimiter in Pete's plugins
.

I've come across another problem. Now that I have that problem fixed, the music in all the other games stutters over and over at the beginning of the music. Then it just sticks at it. All other game sound effects play normally though.
The games that were fixed by the previous problem were: Megaman X6, Castlevania Chronicles, and Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Now the games I have tested that are experiencing this problem are Megaman X4 (I've seen a few posts that I'll check out), and Megaman X5. These are the only 2 games that I have tested. I'll test more and update. |

Update: When I went back to using ePSXe 1.5.2, the stuttering problem was there, but more of the beginning of the track was there that looped over and over. I went and used ePSXe 1.5.0 and the stuttering problem went away. But now there are no MDECs playing and the music is slowed down. I can tell that it's slowed down because I popped the game in my PSX (I'm playing from an image) and the music that's being played through ePSXe is slowed down.
All these :cuss2: problems! Grrr... |
