ISO problems

I'm at my friends house making isos for him(he's too lazy and too stupid to do it himself) and instead of making a .img, .sub, and .ccd file it makes a .mdf and .mds file. Why is it doing this and how do I correct it?

P.S. I'm using CloneCD 4.3.1.7

Re: ISO problems

It is correct. It is just a different way of making an image. Alcohol 120% also uses the mdf format for it's images (if you choose it).

mdf stands for media descriptor image file.

Re: ISO problems

It's the same way. You can either mount your image and then run it.

Or go to file then press run iso. Then select your image and it should work.

gyahh! Im really confused now... Im trying to follow whats above but not successful... I got the .mfd and .mds files.. and I take it im supposed to use the MDF cuz its a lot bigger... (its for TOmb Raider1 btw) but when I click on run ISO in the options I can select it if I put allow it to look at all files... and then when I select it it loads a black screen... I have never had this problem before, I have used ISOBuster in the past to make the iso.. is there a compatiblity issue with 1.6 maybe? or maybe I should make nu?

man this is an old thread...

anywho, pick the CloneCD format (ccd and such) rather than the alcohol format (mds/mdf)

Can't YOU read that the rules states no flaming? Consider this a warning. That was a useless and unhelpful post...

LOL, I love it! He jumps into an old thread and does nothing but insult somebody who hasn't even been active on these boards since January.

Better yet, his post doesn't even make sense!
