EPSXE + Linux + Fullscreen = HELP

Hi all .

I'm trying to get working FF7 with the Pete's MesaGL plugin , and I'd like to make it work in fullscreen mode, but I have problems.

I'd like to use a resolution of 1024x768 for the game , but I have a resolution of 1280x1024 for my desktop , now , when I start the game at that res , the game don't run in the center of the screen , but is moved to the bottom of it , and I can see only half game running . The Panels of my WM also remain on the screen .

The only way to avoid this is to set the resolution of the game to the same resolution of the Desktop (so 1280x1024 ) , but the game don't run very quick .

How can I solve this ?

Thanks

Based on the little time I have used the Linux version of Epsxe, it seems as if the fullscreen mode uses the virtual screen (desktop or whatever it is called) method of implementing fullscreen. If that is the case and there is no other problem, then if you move your mouse to the bottom-left hand corner of your virtual desktop then you should have the screen taken up by the Epsxe screen.

Just to check, are you using an Nvidia card with its proper drivers (closed source available on nvidia.com) installed? Epsxe runs really slowly otherwise.

Mmm , yes, if I move the mouse I can center the Image , but , at least I thought that the plugin was able to center the image and lock the screen at that position....

Anyway , I have a problem , the panel of my WM doesn't disappear ,so I have the panel in the bottom of the image that covers a part of the screen....

I hadn't used MesaGL in a while, but does the config window still show a option called "Change Desktop Resolution"? If so, select it and try running it.
