how to get more speed out of ePSXe for my comp ???? hlp

Ok my PC config is :
celeron 600MHz
256 SDRAM
TNT2 M64 32Mb
Yamaha YMF724 Sound Card
AOC 4Vn monitor

now I played WE (hacked version), Front mission, and GT2
for GT2 and FM I only have delayed music timing, but the speed is still playable (although still slow )

for WE (winning eleven) the speed is not playable the sound is OK. I can more speed with turning the sound off but can i gain more speed without turning off sound (a better SPU maybe ??? I'm using Eternal's)

thx for your help

Het a faster CPU... 600hz is enough for a good number of games, but many others will be slow as hell if you don't have at least 1ghz

Anyways, what plugins are you using? (esp GPUs)

Id look more to turning your graphics options down. Try making it 640x480 and stuff like that.

Should help performance a bit.

Some suggestions:

1) GPU: Use Pete's OpenGL or Pete's D3D, click on the "Fast" button on the bottom of the configuration window, then enable FPS limit.

2) SPU: Eternal sounds great, but it's very CPU-intensive compared to the other SPU plugins. I think the Internal one has a good trade-off between quality and speed.

Make sure you have the video and sound drivers properly installed in Windows. I've attached screenshots of my suggested settings to this post.

There really isn't much you can do. You can try to overclock your CPU. You can also try to lower the plugin resolution to 400x300
