Can't find bios?
Hi
When I start the Wizard Configuration or Run Bios, I get the message that no bios was found in epsxe/bios map, altough there is one (and set in 'Bios'). I don't get it

Re: Can't find bios?
Tried to change the maps name with small fonts. It won't work. And the Video config. doesn't work either; can't select a plugin. I downloaded PEOPS GPU first and now I have Lewpy's Glide. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Can't find bios?
ok, Are you running it from a shortcut?? If so in the shortcuts properties make sure the run in field is the path to the folder epsxe is in (I.E. "C:\epsxe"), if it isn't then it will look on the desktop for the plugin/bios folders... I have encountered this issue before.

Re: Can't find bios?
All is running. The biggest problem seemed to be my patience. EPSXE needs a minute after starting up. Guess the program needs to collect the plugins, etc. first. Btw: I read somewhere that scph9001 is recommended for PAL (if the emulator accept it that is).
Thanks for all the help guys! See ya!

Re: Can't find bios?
EPSXE needs more than a minute, about 5 to 10. If I try to run something earlier I get message he can't find bios or that config is not complete (referring to Config>Video). Is it normal that it takes this long?

No that is not normal. ePSXe should start right up and go into your game straight away. If you are waiting a minute or, God forbid, 5 or ten minutes then something is most definately wrong. I can't say for sure what is wrong but SOMETHING (for emphasis not shouting) is wrong. I'm using the bios from the PSOne (the new small PSX) and ePSXe starts up immediately for me, every time.
As for which bios is recommended, the 7502 is recommended by the ePSXe authors, themselves, as being the most compatable. After that it is the 1001 bios. sincerely, sx/amiga |

Re: Can't find bios?
I'll try to get other bios then. But a new problem occured; baught a psx-usb converter and installed it. WinXP finds the new hardware, installs by itself and says the hardware is ready to use (liar!). What should happen is that I install the drivers, sent with the product, myself. When I try doing so, he says no better driver has been found
Now I can't use the gamepad in ePSXe. Please help...

Re: Can't find bios?
epsxe 1.6.0 seems to have some problems with bioses
. ex: my scph7502.bin (perfectly working and recognized as such by epsxe 1.5.2) is now recognized as scph9002.bin (it doesn't affect compatibility, but I found it strange)
