epsxe just show me a black screen

I have just started using Epsxe but it won't load anything for me. I have checked lots of forums to try make it on my own but I just can't.
I have tried by using bios 'scph7502.bin' and 'Scph1001.bin' but none of them work... it just becomes black and stops to respond.. what can I do?

i suggest not using the OpenGL2 plugin
use the 1.74 one and can u post the settings your using?

OGL2 is an experimental plugin, it works well, but it's not very optimized yet... and it's for the next generation cards (nowadays ones run it from "not at all" to "fine", but most run it "slow")

Turn on fps limitation and set it to 60 fps for NTSC games and 50 for PAL (or you can just hit the auto button). If your desktop is set to 16 bit color then set the plugin to 16 bit color and turn on dithering. If your processor is fast enough (1.5 ghz+) then set framebuffer access to 4. If you want to put teh framebuffer effects and stuff on the gfx card then set the framebuffer texture to 2 (or 3) and set framebuffer access to 3.

Sorry, but what game are you trying to play?

1. If you are playing from an image file make sure the iso isn't damage or corrupted.

2. Try mounting the image on a virtual drive like daemon and use peops/sapu cdr plugin.

Thx for the help but still, nothing happens... I start the program, pick File -> Run CDROM -> CDrom and picks FF9.img and it just shows me a black screen.. why???

Try File -> Run ISO

if your using ff9 as an iso you pick load iso and then choose,is it the us version your trying with?Are you using epsxe 1.6.0?If you want i can giveyou my ff9 save from my memory card since i am on disc 3 and you can see if that will work.

It is not an ISO... its is a CDrom which is copied from a friend... it is not the US version and I am using 1.6.0

If you have a file FF9.img then it's an image of the ff9 cd, it's basicaly the same thing as ISO.

And if you have the pal FF9 version, then IIRC you need a patch to run it, try google to search it.

But the FF9.img is on the CD and it has ben "CD copy":ied from nero... so it is identical, I know of what I speak

Then you are fooked. Nero doesn't copy the copy protection which is what you need for the version you have.
