ePSXe on a Flat Panel Monitor
Anybody running emulated games on a flat panel LCD monitor? I was wondering how the games look (ghosting, blurring, etc.) and how 640x480 emulated looks on the native monitor resolution of 1280x1024 or higher.

It really depends on the LCD's stats. My LCD moniter, 17", has no clipping or blurring. i think the Dot Pitch is what matters. I dunno what this moniter has because i only got it from a friend without a box or papers. Very nice at 640x480. I run at 1024x768 on this moniter and it's not too bad going down to 640x480. if your native res is higher then 1158x768 or w/e that is, ALWAYS use full-screen. You always should anyways, it's a better, faster mode and enables Anti-aliasing and AF.

Re: ePSXe on a Flat Panel Monitor
My LCD monitor runs fine at 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480 with no problems.

Re: ePSXe on a Flat Panel Monitor
My Viewsonic Vx800 18" LCD TFT Display is phenomenal at 1280x1024 or lower resolutions. No ghosting or blurring noticeable at all.

Thanks, all. That makes me feel good. I'm ordering a new system and decided to go with the Samsung 191T LCD instead of a CRT.
On a side note, I'm also re-building a PII 333, Win98 SE, SB AWE64, Voodoo3 3000, 128 RAM, that I will be using as a retro machine for older games. Are these specs strong enough to run ePSXe? I play games like FF9, CC, LoD, etc. Thanks again. |

Yeah, if you use some lower settings and the best drivers from Voodoo Files and you use Lewpy's Glide 1.40. Never use Pete's plugins using a Voodoo 3.
