rumble doesn't work for me in ff8 but it does work in ff9 (and many other games) and i've never had any crashes in any game when turning on rumble. sometimes it doesn't work, but it never crashes, so eumel's problem seems to be something different.

I had some problem with rumble under epsxe.
I found that some motherboard using nforce2 (mine is asus a7n8x-e deluxe) have issues with usb, epsxe crash when rumble is activated now I use a pci usb controler and everything is fine, so for those one who can't get rumble to work, try it
