Game pad

i have a usb game pad, epsxe doesn't detect it

bad for you.

check if windows detects it, then read epsxe's manual.

yea windows detects it, i use it on zsnes too. And, pcsx detects it fine too, but the game compatability isn't as good with pcsx.

if i click on a button to configure lets say triangle, then press a button on my gamepad, nothing happens, i have tried all the buttons and only down and right are detected. I haev the newest directx and tried that thing it said in the help file about deleting the reg key for the config of epsxe.

hm, what happens if go to a key (say L1), with the mouse, you press a button on your pad, HOLD IT, then go the the next key (L2), and only then release the gamepad button?

nope. Oh and the game pad is gravis gamepad pro.... Ummm.... i just checked the dx diagnostics thing, and i don't know if this has anything at all to do with this but it says the game pad is controller id 0 and then it has 3 entries of "USB Keyboard" also with controller id 0.

that sounds weird; and a gravis gp pro should definately work; I have on as well...
what happens if you unplug and then replug everything?
