Unhappy Could someone help me with my problem ....

im using the game FF8 on my system, now i know this isnt a game problem cause ive ran it before on my older system no prob ..... the problem is, video chops up with the sound and its jumpy all the way through ...... is there any particular settings i should use to make this work ......

My System -- Windows XP Professional --
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (ECSK7S5A Pro)(Motherboard)
1 GB PC2100 DDR RAM
Nvidia Geforec 2 MX400 64MB
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
90GB's of HDD
52x24x52 CDR/CDRW

i know the last 2 stats have nothing to do with the problems im having

Also i have refered to the ePSXe walkthrough on how you should set stuff up, to the T ..... and still have this problem so dont blow me off ..... on that trip

Oh and also this doenst have anything to do with my problem but ....i recently bought a PC USB Gamepad (2 axis, 8 buttion) (modeled after the PSX controler) and it didnt come with software, and the instructions say that windows should automatically say hey this is that ....but it doesnt, and just list the thing as an Unknow device, there dont seem to be any drivers for the thing that i can find, if anyone happens to know where i could find the drivers for a generic USB Gamepad then please tell me ......

i would be happy to hear anything on either of these problems of my, please answer me if you know the how to fix either of my problems, thanks .......

Use an iso, or change your cd plugin. Post your settings to get a more detailed answer.

and I-chan im using an ISO file, and i try'd usin other cd plugins but that didnt seem to help any ..... my settings are above ^

also while my display of videos and what not is lagged and the sound is choppy, with out the frame limiting my game runs at llike 500fps, so i had to slow it down

lower framebuffer access to 3.
Disable SPU IRQ hack.
Try other spu as eternal or peops. Download here. Also, try other cd plugins like Xevens or peops (d/l).

Well, maybe it's your geforce 2 MX. But i think it should be enough. Why don't you try PEOpS soft gpu plugin for your graphics? It'll have less image quality, but it may fix your video problems. And i'tll help us isolating the problem (wether is due to gpu or not).

Nope that doesnt work

the Peops software gpu doesnt even appear to work, i know my video card can support the game no problem, because on my old system i had the same video card and it ran just fine with any psx games i ran

You can't hotlink to Geocities.
My guess is that you failed to installed the latest drivers for your card.

Nope, my video card has the latest drivers offered by Nvidia that there are, so that can be ruled out

as for the not being able to see the images on

http://www.saiyajin.vze.com/settings.htm

try clearing your history and deleting your temporary internet files, prehaps that will make them visible
