ePSXe freezes when i start it!

when i start ePSXe and try to load either from my cd rom or iso, it freezes wile tryin to start the game, i just see a black screen forever. Can somebody please help me with my problem! I already configured the whole thing.....

check your cd reading light when you play epsxe..... If its trying to load the game then it should be blinking..... If its blinking very fast, then the cd is jacked... If its not blinking at all, try a different cd rom pluggin..... Try petes cd rom pluggin...
