Epsxe under WinXp

Hey guys. Haven't been around here for a few months so excuse my stupid questions...Before i left i remember in order to run epsxe under WinXp you needed to clean your registery or something like that right?

If so..where can i get the program to clean my registery?

If you have any problems, run epsxe under a different compatability

Pretty much all the compatibility wizard does is tell he program that it's a different version of Windows.
ePSXe runs fine under XP. The only thing you might have to run/install is to install Force ASPI.

If you're switching from 9x to NT or XP all you have to do is change your CD plugin to the NT/2000 core. I believe the internal CD plugin and Pete's have the option.

Yes, only change the cdr to NT/2000, but if u haven't installed the Force ASPI or the Adaptec ASPI, because in these cases, u can use the ASPI/W9x core .

Thx, bye

Runing ePSXe under compability modes doesn`t speed up emulation, what`s more important on my XP_Pro_SP1 ePSXe runs very stange when 98/Me Compability modee is enabled - exiting program last more than 30s, but then compability mode is switched off this operation (exiting emu) takes less then 1s....
...!...

Hard 2 say - need more info
1) What exaclly is your problem?
- ePSXe don`t want 2 start at all
- it crash after some time
- U can`t run the games
- maybe it show errors
- or maby game didn`t work how it should ???
2) Check ePSXe debug window 4 errors.
3) install necesary drivers: ASPI, 4 Gfx_Card (30.82 detonator should be OK couse U have GF2MX)
4) post your config
5) with game U wanna play
5) maby U are trying 2 run game witch need turn on/off some options or special game fixes.

while this should have nothing to do with whether or not ePSXe runs, RegCleaner is a very good, easy to use program for cleaning your registry, and I suggest you should dl it and use it on a regular basis to keep your registry clean.

Well it is more everything runs fine until i put in the cd and press load cd rom and then it starts up but then nothing it just "hangs" there! and then freezes and says not responding and *** like that! damn i am so mad. It's been like a month since i played psx games on an emu and i really wanna! this isn't fair. i think it is the aspi drivers though. is there a place to get any that won't ruin my system? because one time i installed some drivers and than my cd rom wouldn't work at all! so if anyone knows please help.

Also i have winxp home so it has to be compatible with that.

ASPI??? maybe??
but even I haven`t got ASPI drivers instaled under my XP Pro SP1 ePSXe was still working (running games), so maby U didn`t configure CDR Plugin correct.
1. reconfigure your CD plugin
I`m using Petes ASPI plug, working fine on bouth of my sys 98SE/XPpro... & make sure that (under XP) IOCTL scsi/raw interface is selected
2. Another idea - try 2 run games from ISO

BTW; I`m using Adaptec ASPI drivers, too - no problems under (my) XP
