epsxe problems

Fine people lets put it this what cd-rom plugin do you use and what configurations do you guys think I should use along as what plugins you guys recommend.

I am using Windows XP on a laptop. I do not have any special sound card or graphics card, just whatever came with this Dell piece of crap school computer.
Now can somebody help me.

Install ForceASPI.

I have an ASPI installed already. Is there something I need to do after I install it.

You can use the WinNT\2000 core CD plugin too.

Ok, here is what happens when I try to start the game (Final Fantasy VII disc 1 actuall game not ISO) it pulls up a black screen and does nothing> And on the script that is up behind the emulator say error reading disk. I have the ASPI installed I rebooted my computer I have the plugins that are required and am using the diffault cd rom configurations what should I do.

Here is exactly what the script reads:
NTSC cdrom detected.
Warning: cdrom read mode unkown.
Doing init gpu[0]
Gpu onpe[0]
Direct input init ok.
Doing spu init
Spu open
Error reading CD: 0.2.16
Error reading CD: 0,2,0

it says Error Reading CD, make the game into a ISO

Sounds like your haven't configured your cd rom drive. Goto the cd rom option in the menu then click configure. mkae sure the corect drive is specified as well as the read mode.

Failing that download Sapu or Xeven's cdr plugins. They configure themselves.
