It will run, but I'd recommend you to use the software gpu plugins like PEOPS which takes advantages from your cpu.

It'll run for certain in PEOPs mode, but play around with the other plugins.

well.... in PSX fanatics there's one called FAST GPU.... I think it can run even in a 2mb.... actually this person here writing (named Takmadeus)found it.... don't ask where.... I just found it..... then there's adrenaline soft, linuzzapps soft and many other plugins which have not been noticed in a loooooong time.... but that i think that will do the job.....

I ran epsxe with a 4mb shared sis card on a celery 566 with 128mb ram using pete's/peops. I also got good results from kazzauya.

Kazzuya's is about the fastest.. not the most compatible but it is the fastest

I wonder what he's up to these days

Anyhow.. in summary YES it will work.

No it won't have hardware aceleration.

nah...... FAST GPU is the fastest, not Kazzuya..... but when talking about recent fast plugins, E]-I-['s soft is the fastest (just use the fastest options.... not too much difference betwweenthem though)

Well... I had that video card when I first came in here, and all it could do was play games in ePSXe at 320x240 windowed using Pete's Soft (at that time). Of course it ran games in VGS just fine, but then again, it's VGS.

Of course, at that time I only had a Pentium II 266 with 48MB EDO RAM, so my results weren't suprising. I'm not sure if a Duron 950 and a decent amount of SDRAM will give you better ePSXe results than mine though, particularly when running full-screen.

My 4 meg Voodoo 1 board can run epsxe fine - slow in some games, it can manage 60fps in FF7.

Shori: I am running a duron 900 and am quite happy with the results. its all a matter of how long you wanna tweak before jumping into the game. with enought time you can get epsxe running decent on any machine capable of running win32, thats why I totally dig ePSXe.
