Audio-CD + BIOS

ePSXe help file says, that ePSXe can play audio-CD using a bios.
But it's won't. What can i do?

Close your pc, take your cd player, put your music cd in your cd player, press play and enjoy your music.

You dont need the bios in your emu to play your music cds, its too buggy anyways.

and you usually have one in your OS anyways. DO some searching under "entertainment" in accessories in windows

Playing Audio CDs through the BIOS only works in version 1.4.0 of ePSXe. I don't know why newer versions don't support it. If you want to test it, get that version and it will work (at least it did for me).

If someone is asking what's the point in playing Audio CDs through the BIOS, the answer is that it's not useful at all, and nobody expects anyone to use it to listen to music. However, the more features from the original PSX the emulator have, the closer it will be to perfection (at least that's my point of view).

Agreed, if playing audio CD's is part of the PSX, then it needs to be emulated, okay so 1/1000 people will actually use it, but the more supported, the better, and more 'complete' the emulation
