My apologies if this has been asked before, but I have an Interact controller that has a digital pad and 2 analog controls (a la dual shock) unfortunately, the digital pad is basically a big hat switch according to the driver, epsxe (1.4) doesn't seem to see it as an input... which is a problem, now I have to play my games using the analog as the main control (which isn't really well suited to games like SOTN...) any solutions?

does the gamepad come with any key mapping software? if so just map the hat switch to keys...
otherwise take a look at Aldo's VGSjoy http://www.aldostools.com/dx7vgsjoy.html i dont know if it supports hat switch tho. if you're interested, bleem! supports hat switch. i use a joystick with bleem! for certain games and the hat switch can be mapped in the setup. |

That particular joystick comes with better than a simple keymap. Go configure your controller, and switch your pad from "POV hat" to "Digital PAD". That will fix your problem!
