CD-ROM config causes crash ...

I just downloaded the emu and started the wizard.
After telling the programm the path of bios, graphic and sound plugin (Petes GPU) it says I have to config the CD-ROM drive.
After hitting the cfg button the window appears with either daemon tools stealth drive or after deinstalling DT it shows one of my regular CD-ROMs.
BUt in bot ways after the window appears I get an error message from windows like" Epsxe this application will be closed because of a ..blah etc." and the programm closes.

I run win98 se.
pioneer dvd rom, 1 yamaha cd-burner and daemon tools.
All drivers are up to date.

Help is really appriciated.

What i understand from you is that an error message appears. Is it similar to this format? " ePSXe has caused an illegal operation and will be closed now" . Anyways, just for your information, just go to config>cdrom> and select your cdr plugin. I dont understand how deamon tools is supposed to appear on the configuration screen, maybe you can clear this up on your next post?

That's what he's trying.
Have you tried other plugins, like Xeven's?

Oh I forgot, not daemon tools itself but the stealth drive it creates shows up in the pull down menue.

I will try a other plug in, thx @Kane for the link.

Hmm... that Xeven's plug in doesn't work either.
It says "Unable to find Cd-Roms on this computer".

I guess its because I have SCSI CD-Roms and the drivers are written for IDE type CD-Rom's.

Any other options?

Ok,

The Xeven plug in says "Unable to detect any CD Rom drives on this computer.
The only improvement in compare to the standard aspi core is that the emu doesnt crash here.

But I still have no CD Rom detection.
Not even the stealth CD Rom created from deamon tools.

Strange.

Help needed !!!!

Xeven's plugin won't detect drives if running in a frontend. It needs no configuring however.

wups...

sorry, everytime I see the command window I sense DOS.

Now I tried both soundcards in my PC, SB Live and sb 16 with the standard and withP.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.2 plug in.
But without any success.
When I hit the test button in the cfg screen of the emu nothing is heared.
Is there a special plug in that works with win98se or sb live cards?
