why would you need a DVD-ROM? A PSX does not have a DVD-ROM, so why would your PC need one? Just think it through....

Aah OK that's why ISS2 Pro Evolution 2 for PS2 doesn't run :-(
But I thought I read somewhere that it did. Oh well.

no, only psx1.
there are ps2 emus, but they can not yet run (commercial) games.

When it comes time for PS2 to hit the emulation scene, you actually might need a DVD-ROM. But for now, a regular CD-ROM will work.

im not too sure and maybe ill look dumb but is he hinting towards saying that the game wont run on the ps2 for the fact that the ps2 wont read the CD-Rom but possibly the DVD-Rom
