Not really, by far Mobility 9000 is the best mobile chip on the market. Not only it support Direct x 8.1 and fix a few gliteches in Radeon 8000, it is also energy friendly. So if you do have a choice choose the Mobility 9000. The Mobility 9000 basically performs like the Radeon 9000. So search for some topic about radeon 9000 and you should know.

Overall I would say that the Mobility 9000 is a better card, it performs really well under D3D games, and has excellent video quality. (but for OpenGL the nvidia 4 440 go may be faster) http://www.techtv.com/freshgear/prod...406071,00.html
