My FF9 Problems

I am having a few issues with ff9. I searched dozens of posts but didnt come across a similar issue so I thought I would ask for help. I apologize if this has already been discussed.
I am having several strange graphics issues while playing the game. During the FMV there are green blocks that will appear on the right side of the screen. They flash across the screen really quick so I have not been able to get a screenshot yet.
I do have some shots of one of my other issues, and my config. Any help is appreciated.

AMD Thunderbird 1100mhz
Abit KT7-Raid
Radeon 9700 Pro
SB Audigy Platinum

Have you yet tried running from an ISO image?
Have you enable the ATi fix in the plugins?

Read my config guide for FF9, then come back OK, there are a couple of issues in there.

I am looking over your site and trying different things, but I finally got a shot of the green blocks.

Actually I just solved the problem with the green blocks, I needed to change framebuffer textures to hardware and software (3) and they went away (at least it seems so for now).
Also the text corruption was fixed by switching to the OpenGL plugin instead of Direct3d.
Of course now I have black outlines around alot of the background images (and no i dont have 2xSal selected). I guess I will try tweaking a little more but even if I cant get them to go away it is still working much better.
