PEC doesn't work

I have done all this:

Quote:

<LI>Go into the plugin menu and select video
<LI>Choose 'psx emulation cheater' as the video plugin
<LI>Click the configure button and select the 'real' gpu plugin you want to
use.
<LI>Click 'Ok'
<LI>Execute the 'pec.exe'
<LI>Select your cheats
<LI>Click on 'Send cheats to plugin'
<LI>Insert the game CD or load the ISO file in the emulator
<LI>Start the emulation</LI>

Yet still nothing happens in either Driver 2 OR FF7. The codes are entered correctly..

Any help? There is this mission in Havana (Driver 2) that pisses me off and would just like to skip it. Pressing L1, R1, L2 and R2 in any order doesn't activate this code: Press L1+R1+L2+R2 To Instantly Complete Mission

hi!

If you did everything right and the codes are for your version of the game (there are different versions of Driver 2 (atleast in the PAL region)), you need to press L1+R1+L2+R2 at the same time, and not in any order.

After you set PEC as your plugin, Select from PEC's plugin configuration menu your graphics plugin and configure it as it was before IE be sure the GPU plugin works before trying to use PEC with the game. Keep a copy of your settings handy for when you use PEC.

A question comes to min did the game work without PEC before you tried using it?

The game worked fine without it. I made sure i configured the real video plugin. I use peops 1.6 but I doubt that makes a difference.

Update: I tried a code that doesn't require activation (pressing a control key). It was "Unlock all cities" in Driver 2. It works..but not the one I am trying to do: Instantly end mission.

I faced a similar problem with Dino Crisis 1 or REsident evil 2(I think one fo them) and later I found out that I wasnt pressing all the keys at the same time.
So make sure your timing is right.Should work.

Still nothing. All I want to do is play all the cities without a cheat code. If anyone kindly wants to email a copy of a completed English (NTSC U/C) Driver 2 mission I would appreciate it..

Most likely, the code is fake or erroneous... don't jump to conclusions.

i did experience something like. my pec cheat wont work after i tried a cheat and then closed the emulator to add/remove cheats. But then i all i had to do was restart pec. i dont know why it needs to be restarted though..works for me that way though.
