music prob with Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15....

hi there!

i've got a prob with Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15. if i start ePSXe, the music is t fast! the quality is horrible!

please, can some1 tell me what i can do now? under Config --> Sound: i have enabled:

Enable Sound [Select to enable ADPCM sound]
Enable CDDA Sound [Select to Enable CD-ROM sound]
Enable XA sound [Select to enable XA sound in MDEC]

under Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15 i have enabled:

Enable XA playing
Enable XA speed, if it is played too fast [more cpu power needed]

1: High compatibility mode [timer event, slower]

well, thats all.

any ideas?

Ther music is too fast because the game is running faster than it was supposed to be. You could disable "Enable XA speed, if it is played too fast" so the plugin would not speed up the sounds, but the sound would not be good anyway, since it's not in the normal speed. To slowdown the emulation to the correct speed, enable the FPS Limit inside the GPU plugin.

thx, it works now! but theres now another prob...

if i try to play at window mode, i always get an error message (the message is in german, so...).
the error means: petes Dxd plugin made an error in area unknown. windows will close the programm.

well, thats one of those messages which windows user have every day

any ideas?

I suggest SPU Eternal, because SPU Pete made some strange sounds in games like FFIX or FFVII.

By the way: If the message says "Fehler durch ungültige Seite" then try updating DirectX or, depending on your gfx card, switching to Pete's OGL Plugin.

Try to set the desktop color depth the same as in the plugin (like 16bit both, or 32bit in both).

Verita's SPU was an unauthorized hack from Eternal SPU, so it's not supported by NGEmu. It should not be discussed here, so please don't mention it again, please.
