ePSXe Poll

So when do you think that the ePSXe emu will be perfected or near Perfection?

epsxe is certainly near perfect at the moment but I don't think it will ever be truely perfect ..since there is always things that can be improved (even several years from now)

Nothing reaches 100% perfection especially in emulation but I think we are very close to the best we can achieve.
There will always be some games which wont run or will show problems but thats how its supposed to be.

I think you'll never know, but as time pass by, there's a lot of improvement and I think that counts a lot. You may not reach the perfection or near perfection stage but you capture the delight and statisfaction of every emu user, then they (the authors) have reach their goal...

The plug-ins are what cause glitches most of the time (when not configured properly) but some games the emulator just can't run properly.

comparing with an analogy of a car:
epsxe would be the engine, and the Plugins would be the tires & stearing wheel, etc. all are nessary to drive a car in some way.

usually most games will run in epsxe if everything is configured properly, but like a car is something doesn't work right you can sorta point out what it might be. e.g game loads but has graphic glithces or sound bugs is likely a plugin problem, vs. your game doesn't load at all is most likely an internal emulator problem.
sorta like if you run out of gas you wouldn't blame it on your steering wheel

Well as we drive vlose to the "perfection" that in no way can be achieved by an emu, things are gonna be really hard for the authors since bugs are harder and harder to find. But i belive they'll pull it off

there is no perfection on the emulator dynasty... until one can update the emu epsxe it just keeps on getting better....

Well... I think EPSXE will be perfect when the plugins are perfect. (Never)

well just try to enjoy what ePSXe can bring now, rant if you want some problem to be fix so that it would be much better. feedback is really essential in the progress stage and maybe someday, it would be 99% accurate! (1% for the flaw and error but nevertheless, its still 99% ok)

there's still one major pb in ePSXe:the cdda sound tracks. I think ePSXe will be as "perfect" as zsnes is, in the 2 years...
