Memory Card Problem
My memory card appears to be broken for some reason after I used cheats for some games.... When I try to load from the card, some japanese pops up and says the card has problems and is damaged.... Is it caused by the cheats I used? Is there any way to solve this problem? Thanks!

No idea mybe if you use any memorycard tools or editors, it could have corupted it. What are you useing other than EPSXE, any other utilities, EPSXEcuter for example. What Game are you having problems with saving for?

If you dont use the cheats are you able to play and load these games from memorycards with no trouble? I dont see the point of using cheats anyway, it ruins the gaming experiance. I used to use cheats for games but i find that it shortens the games lifespan. I remeber once i used cheats on a new game i just got, i played it a couple of times then never plaed it again. Cheating had ruined the experience and i got board of it very quickly.

try opening the memory card through the bios in the file where it's like the memory card checker in the real PSX. If it did not read the memory card...then you have a problem there

I don't know if this is related to these games, as I don't have them, but its worth a try at least.
In ff6 if you use a memorycard which is formatted using a memorycard editor etc... it saves the game correctly but when you try to load from the card the game thinks the save is corrupt. The way to correct it is to create an UNFORMATTED memory card in eg epsxecutor, run the game with these cards, then try to save on the card. If the game supprorts formatting it will format the card and save onto it. Now transfer the "corrupt" savegame to this new card and it should (hopefully) work. (at least it does for me in ff6).
