Question Dr.Slump NTSC Jap doesn't run?

HI! I have a trouble with the game Dr.Slump for the PSX NTSC Japan version. The game runs ok under EmuRayden (VGS) but this emulator doesn't work under Windows XP (prof.), then I have to use ePSXe. But the problem is that the game crashes after Bandai logo is displayed. The emulation starts, the logo is displayed and then the emulator is closed... The console is there yet, and says this...

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.5.2.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\SCPH1001.BIN].
* Init Core W2k cdrom ... * First/Last track: 1 2
* Track 1: (DATA) - Start 0: (00,02,00) - Length 05:35
* Track 2: (AUDIO) - Start 1: (05,37,39) - Length 03:30
[E] ok
* NTSC cdrom detected.
* Subchannel support from .m3s file.
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.
* Init core spu ... ok
* Closing core spu...
* Closing gpu ...
* Shutdown gpu ...
SPEC Opcode 01 UNK (PC 00010004) (0000ef24) (471,9)

I've tried to run the game with ePSXe versions since 1.4.0 to 1.5.2, CDROM plugin "ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2.", video plugins "Pete's D3D Driver 1.61", "Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.61" and "E}I{'s Soft Driver 0.97", and BIOS SCPH1001.BIN and SPCH5001.BIN. I've also tried to play from an ISO (.nrg). Other games like "Bust-A-Move 4" or "Bust-A-Groove" runs ok. Can you help me? Are there any other emulator than runs this game? (Sorry by my "strange" English, i'm hispanic). Thanks thanks thanks ^.^. Please help!

This is the screenshot from the bandai logo... when this logo dissapear the game crashes.

Neither PSEmuPro, nor Psinex, nor Adripsx, nor Psyke runs this game? ;-( I've tried to run it under these emulators but all crash! (some emus before epsxe and others in the same moment). Well... i think there isn't any way to run VGS under XP, no?

For japanese games, always try to use scph-7502. if it still occurs, use a software gpu plugin.

Are you sure you even need to use subchannel reading? Try playing it without using that.

Thanks, I've tried what you've said to me, but the game still doesn't work. Cd plugin isn't cause i've tried tha game from an ISO, I've also tried to run the game with the GPU "E}I{'s Soft Driver 0.97", and I've downloaded that BIOS... but it seems to have the same file lenght that 1001 BIOS... and I've downloaded it from Kazaa (I guess that will be the real 7502 BIOS...). Well... i'm trying some other BIOS (if I can found them) Well... See ya! And thanks ;-)

* Track 2: (AUDIO) - Start 1: (05,37,39) - Length 03:30
[E] ok
* Force NTSC cdrom detected.
* Subchannel support from .m3s file.
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.
* Init core spu ... ok
* Closing core spu...

Try an earlier version of ePSXe then. It might be a broken compatibility problem in 1.5.2.

Well... the ePSXe 1.2.0 doesn't seem to have console... when the game crashes the black box is empty... in the version 1.0.1 crashes too and the whistle appears...

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.0.1.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [D:\Psx\bios\scph7502.bin].
* Doing init gpu...
* Gpu open...
* Direct input init ok.
* Init core spu ... ok

* Force NTSC cdrom detected.
* Closing core spu...
* Closing gpu ...

Maybe you should try SCPH1000 BIOS? It will be same length too Experiment with subchannel reading in ePSXe core CDROM and in Pete's CDrom plugin (try different reading modes) Turn sound, MDECs, XA reading etc. to off

Subchannel reading has no effect... remember that i'm trying too from an ISO. I've turned the sound off and on. Curiously, the game doen't work at all with the Sound disabled (neither bandai logo is displayed). CDDA Sound, XA Sound & SPU IRQ have no effect.
Remember that I've played succesfully games like Bust-a-Move, Bust-a-Groove or Drragon Ball Final Bout. I don't know if it is another thing that could make the emulator crashes with this game. If not, perhaps it is not emulated yet by emulators (except VGS).

I've tried it... No, the game still doen't work. Spec plugins? What means? The plugins I'm using? Well... I've said it before... Video "P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.6" and "Pete's D3D Driver 1.61", sound "ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2." and "Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15", CDROM "ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2." and "Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10", bios scph 1000, 1001, 3000, 7502. Well... CDrom plugin isn't the problem 'cause I've also tried to run it from an ISO. Audio plugin... the game doesn't work at all with the Sound disabled, I don't know why... it can be cause there is an AUDIO track (that isn't really an audio track, it's a DATA track but recorded as an AUDIO track... a protection maybe... but it works under VGS, so...). Video plugin... I don't know if there is any video plugin problem, but i've tried a lot of configurations. The game still doesn't work, but thanks to all people who is trying to help me :'). What more can be?

Other solution: I've downloaded Trial version of "Connectix Virtual PC" and installed Windows 98 on it. Now I can run Windows98 under WindowsXP, so I can run the game, but it runs VVEEERYYYY SLLLOOOWWW. Under Windows 98 the game runs ok (all frames), but under Windows 98 under Windows XP the game runs at 5fps-10fps about. Well... I'm searching any patch or any solution to run faster this game under this Virtual PC... but i think it's not a grteat solution...
Well... let's go to see what can i do...

Try custom framerates then. set PEOPS to something close but less than 60 or try async/wait mode in SPUethernal and no FPS limit in GPU...
Probably unsupported opcode anyway. I can not run some games on ePSXe too(but they work with AdriPSX). Post message to compatibility forum or send message to calb.
