Unhappy wild arms crashes w/ epsxe halfway thru the game

i was playing wild arms, and it worked wonderfully, until i reached the gate generator level. In the battes, i could not use Jacks Fast Draws without making the game crash, leaving only the DOS screen, which is as shown below:

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.5.1.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\SCPH1001.BIN].
* Init cdrom ... [F] ok
* Cdrom open... ok
* Mci disabled, cdda supported by cdrom plugin.
* NTSC cdrom detected.
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.
* Doing spu init...
* Spu open...
* Increased SlotState! (1)
* LoadState Done!
* Increased SlotState! (2)
* LoadState Done!
* LoadState Done!
* Increased SlotState! (3)
* Increased SlotState! (4)
* LoadState Done!
* Closing spu ...
* Closing gpu ...
* Shutdown gpu ...

The game crashes only when I use the Fast Draw technique in the battles. The other things work just fine.

Can some body tell me what the problem is!? Why is it that the problem crop up halfway through the game?

my pc specs are:

Pentium III 800mhz
512MB Ram
Nvidia GeForce2 MX400

Epsxe config:

scph1001
Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.60
Eternal SPU Plugin 1.20
Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10

Please help me! :confused:
