ePSXe working too fast....
I have a top of the line computer, nearly 2 ghz pentium 4, 256 ram, 30 megabytes left of free space, GeForce2, et cetera ad infinitum. Whenever I play a game on ePSXe the game works -far too fast-. I have like a 48x cd rom drive. How do I set it so the game plays at the same speed (give or take a bit) as the PSX? This is very frustrateing. I appreciate it immensely.

In Pete's plugin settings, enable 'Use FPS limitation'... or something like that, then set the figure in the box to 60, or select Autodetect FPS limit.

With these settings set (and with the previous ones) I get alot of disturbance in the videos and sound. The videos stutter and so does the sound...makeing the FMV in MGS basically impossible to understand and alot of the voice as well. Can you tell me how I could fix this?

hmm try extracting the movies off the cd with psx mc then watching them separately if you cant make em out... you might have to install aspi layer as well if you havent already to use that program though... both of those things (psx mc, and aspi layer) can be found here at ngemu... somewhere...
sincerely, Strider

Wait - no, I don't wanna do that.
Okay....I tried the changes to the Pete's plugin and now the game runs perfectly....however, the video files play stuttered and the sound does as well, well. How do I fix this? When I go into the video config, I also get this error: The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_16 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL - how do I fix this and would there be any unwanted side effects from doing as such? |

Please post the names of games you uses. If you uses eternal 1.30 sound plugin, increase buffer to 15 or superior, check if Hack irq is disabled in the sound options. If not, try to play with iso image.

SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_16 error is caused by not having an aspi layer installed. Download forceaspi from the epsxe downloads section on ngemu.
