Need help, can't save! Memory card unformatted?

My memory card files keep showing up as unformatted, and i can't format them from the executor. how can i solve this problem? anyone? also, i was playing ace combat 2 ntsc/uc, but there was no music, only sound effects. i used the internal plugin... any other suggestions?

you can format the memcard while playing the game if it detects an unformatted card and the game supports formatting.

thats the problem. ii've tried 5 games which support memory card formatting. I managed to format them and actually saved on them, but once i exit the program the memory cards return to unformatted status! what gives?

check if the memory card files in your memcard directory aren't "attribute" or "read-only" in her propriety (right-click on them for this) If not, try to delete these files, epsx will recreated the files to the next start.

you may want to delete the registry entries which epsxe and the plugin makes.

use this but you have to configure again.

it worked! turns out the memcard files were read-only. stupid me, i didn't even think about that. thnx anyway. just a last minute question: is there a way to reduce sound lag and choppiness by changing some settings or configs? ill be most appreciative...

if you are using eternal spu you should set the sound buffer to which best fits your sound card. for me i set it to 50. i dunno about the internal spu though...

Anf for a better sound, play with iso image. it reduces load times
