Memcard file format changed from 1.2.0 to 1.5.2?

Just a quick question...

Has the memcard file format changed from 1.2.0 to 1.5.2? I just upgraded (after a long break) and now I cannot load any of my saved games... It just says Memcard is not formated.

It seems to me that the format should not have changed, but maybe it is getting read differently??

The savestate format is the same, but because the internal subsystem has changed a lot, and the same the timing, it is very probably than very old savestates will has problem to load.

If your games asked you to format your memory cards, then the problem is most likely due to a new card being created by EPSXE.

Usually whenever I have this problem, it's a sign that I somehow either deleted the memory card or moved it to a new directory. EPSXE usually creates a new card if you don't have one linked to a path.

Have you recently deleted or somehow change the memory card path in the options menu to a new directory? If you did, then that's most like your problem. Just go to the memory card menu and check where your path should be.
