chrono cross cant even play first 3 minutes of game

ayo,
i peeped out that a bunch of kats have had some kinda problems emulating this game but my problem sucks the most.. in the beginning of the game u gotta go to the pier to meet up with some broad but everytime i try to go the pier the game freezes up on a black screen and the music is looped. when i press tab and go to the dos screen it displays error reading cd: 2, 50, 11. can anyone tell me whats going on.

one,
cydetrakd

ps im running the newest version of epsxe and sorry if this has been answered before but i scanned thru the existing posts and the help files and still didnt find an answer.. props to the coders of the emu.. the games i've tried so far run beautifully and look great.. only one i cant get to run is chrono cross out of eight games.. mad props to the epsxe team..

It sounds like you're having problems reading from your CD-ROM drive. Try:

1) Different CD-ROM plug-in
2) Another CD/DVD-ROM drive if you have one
3) Making an ISO

There's also the very real possibility that you have a bad sector on your CD. If that's the case (all 3 solutions don't work or get errors, or you get the same error as before) then you might have to obtain a CD repair kit to fix your CD, or get another CC CD to play with.

You can get banned for talking about downloading stuff like that, not lecturing just telling you.

You might want to take a trip to a friend's house or your neighborhood rental and make an iso.

An iso is basically a clone of the cd, so if the cd is in poor condition the iso probably will too. Try to find a good quality cd and make another iso.

Just use CloneCD to create it. It adds the subchannel data too, in case the game is copy-protected.

Theres 2 good programs that are the best for making psx isos:

www.isobuster.com

www.clonecd.com

I recommend clonecd the most, it'll make a good iso even if theres errors. Its also a little less confusing to use. Good luck!
