Question disc 2 ff8

Could anyone tell me how to get disc2 of final fantasy 8 working with epsx? After having defeated the boss, It says that it doesn't recognize disc2!!! I have no memory card,is it a problem!

Might be. Eg the english ppf patch has a bug which prevents the disk swap from working. You best bet is to load your last save state, redo that part, then save to a proper memory card.

As for the problem did you try pressing f4?

Sorry, I did not know!
Thanks for having helped me to save by pressing F4, it works!!! but the problem I mentioned above is still there, it doesn't recognize disc 2! It says "bad disc"!

Ok after you beat the boss save the game to the memory card. Then exit the emu. Insert the second disk and run it on the emu. Select continue and load the memory card save. That ought to do it.

Well done Betamax!!! Are you a genius?! It works perfectly, thanks a lot; I wouldn't have achieved it without you.thank you very much! But I really wonder what was the problem! A protection crack?
