Help!!! MetalGearSolidIntegral Jap version won't work

Bios: 1001
CDROM: ASUS 34X
CD driver: epsxe / pete
display: Matrox g400

Problem:

After choose new game, then the screen come dark and load load...load..and wait..forever....

what's wrong??

you could try making an ISO of the cd.

btw, is your cd scratched?

change the CDR plugin and then try .... most of the time it solves the problem

I had tried psx 1.5.2 & pete cdr plug in also and finally not work. It hangs after select the game diff.

create nero nrg image (1.5.2 supported) also not worked.

I had tried it in psex and got work, not hang in loading screen. Does ePSXe cannot overcome the mod chip protection?

Try looking at the Winning Eleven thread. 501XX there has posted a code in CEP that bypasses the protection in JP games, IF you feel that it's really a modchip protection kicking in.

You might want to try setting country to forced NTSC, and then using the scph-7502 BIOS. I use it for my JP games.

Shiori: 7502 hasn't problems with every modchip protected game?

You needn't enable force NTSC, because ePSXe autodetect that it is a NTSC game, and uses the NTSC timing.

Hmm, well It doesn't work in _some_ Japanese games.

I really have to set it to NTSC it I wanted to get it going....

When you don't set to force NTSC, it says during the load messages in msdos window, PAL??
