Granstream Saga

I use the emulator ePSXe and I find it very good, but I'm having a problem on it in the game Granstream Saga...

When I'm on the city of Pikshim, when Afto is going to get killed by a young boy, the game locks up, freezing the entire system... having to me to power off the computer.

I just want to know what can I do to reverse this problem.

I have know idea as i haven't got the game but you could try making an iso and see if it works. Or you could try with earlier versions of ePSXe, try changing SPU plugins. Give us your specs

Sorry for forgetting my specs:

My computer is a AMD K6 2 500 with 128 MB of RAM
40 Gb and Onboard Sound and Video. Video is a SiS 530 and my sound is a ESS-Solo I.

I tried making an ISO, but the same thing happened in the same location. It's the only game I see this problem. I didn't tried yet changing the SPU plugins.
