Chrono Cross saving problem

I'm having a problem saving in Chrono Cross. I didn't start having the problem until I was sent to that town where Kid gets sick and you have to bring the Hydra Humour to save her. Everytime I leave that place and save it never saves properly. I even got the Hydra Humour a couple of times and went back to save her and when I save in the town after she's saved it still loads me back way before I've gotten the humour. Is anyone else having this problem?

Try pressing F4 before you save. Failing that, use savestates (F1: Save, F2: Change slot, F3: Load)

The F1 works fine now but will that work in all games? Like if I do this in Chrono Cross then I go play another game where I have save problems and I do the save state feature again will that overwrite the one for Chrono Cross or will it save multiple ones?

Save states are specific to a CD's code, so a save on CC disc 2 won't overwrite a ss on CC Disc 1.

Try to save to a new memory card. I have this kind of problem when i save a game into a used memory card or a memory card with few empty slot. Use different memory card for every game that you play.
