Help with OpenGL
i dunno if this was asked already but is there a way for a person with a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 model 64 Card to play with the open GL video plugin without slowing the game down so its unplayable?
cause i see when i play ff8 with the d3d it works ok but some things are glitched but when i play it with the open gl every thing is good excpet for the speed of course...so can someone please tell me if there is anything to fix this problem? FF8 Menu with D3D FF8 Menu with Open GL |

Use older detonator drivers, 1X.XX (not detonatorXP 2X.XX!) will solve the slow-down problem, at least for me.
For the d3d one, try disable ALL special game fix and see if the glitch is still there, also, posting up your plugin configuration settings will helps a lot.

Since yuu're using riva tnt 2 m64, I think you should use nvidia Detonator ver 7.97. This det driver is better to use since you're riva tnt 2 m64 is compatible with directx 7. Try it.

Its hard to find now but you can try Detonator 12.41, this driver also work very well with TNT2 card. Download them here

Unzip them all into the ePSXe/plugins directory.

unzip the files into a temporary folder on your HD and look for a readme file inside it should tell you how to install the video card. otherwise you may want to download the newest detonators from nvidia's website, these come in a self-extracting form. (I'm using the newest drivers at work on a TNT2 M64 and no problems there).
p.s. lord kane I think he might be referring to the video drivers, you wouldn't want to unzip that in the epsxe directory

the instructions are different depending on the version of windows
usually you can to goto the device manager and update the drivers, just locate the folder which has the unziped detonator files.
