Force feedback difficulties

Hi, I have a Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad, and I can not get it to work for the life of me! I have read Betamax's instructions and followed them to a 'T' and still nothing... I disabled the SIO IRQ... I have tried the pressing f5 and such, that has done me no good... I'm really out of ideas and was hoping somebody here could help me out.

Yes, I do have the latest drivers from Logitech.
Yes, the forcefeedback does work in other applications
Yes, the rumble feature does seem to be detected (its not greyed out in the in-game menus)]
My OS is WinXP Home edition

Oh yeah, and the main thing I've been testing it on is the MGS vibration test in its options menu.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Well the only one thing that I can see that you didn't list is the following:

Sorry, I did forget to include that part... but, yes, I did do that, its set to 150%

I'm stumped as to what the problem is... I even removed all my old reg files on it and put in new ones, still nothing..

One more thing. I just read though your earilier post a bit more carefully. The f5 trick is used to switch the pad from analogue to digital and back again. If the pad is in digital mode then force feedback doesn't work. You can tell which mode it's in from the debug window.

Alright, duly noted. I confirmed that I do have it set on analog mode. (the options for analog controls and for vibrations features are available in the game's option menus) and still no luck... any further suggestions?
