Current rig :

Windows 7 64bit
4gb Ram
2 x ATI Sapphire Radeon HD 4890's Crossfired (2gb ram)
AMD Phenom X4 9550

EPSXE Setup:
Graphics : Pete's OpenGL 2.9
Internal X res - Very High
Internal Y res - Ultra High
Stretching - Try to keep pixel Ratio
Texture filtering - Extended + Smooth sprites
Hi-res Textures - 2xSal
Framerate - Use FPS limit (200fps)
Offscreen Drawing - Extended
Framebuffer effects - Full
Framebuffer upload - Standard
Screen filtering, MDEC Filter

Stock sound plugin that came with 1.6

My rig is a monster... I run every game I've come across at full graphics. Yet ps1 is giving me trouble? Please help.

Did that, I messed around with the config's and find that if i change the quality settings on the x and y axis', it runs smoother. So I changed from very high/ultra high, to high/very high. Although this is an extreme dissapointment, seeing as I can run all modern games at full quality =/... I just refuse to believe this is hardware related.

disable crossfire, cool and quiet, and set epsxe to a single core.
