ePSXe Locks up EVER time when I exit !!

Whenever I hit ESC to exit the Emu, 99% of the time my system/screen freezes. ive tried alot of differant plugins and nothing is helping. Anyone know what may be causing it? Is there another way to shutdown the EMU without hiting ESC?

I am Currently running a AMD Athlon Thunderbird 800, 256 Ram, and a Voodoo 5500 on WIN98.

Please any help would be much apreaciated.

thanks

Try reinstalling DX, changing drivers etc...

Are you using epsxe 1.5? The crashing use to happen to me too when I was running win98se with my v5 5500 agp.. I fixed it by using epsxe executor.. No more crashes.. You can download it from the epsxe download section.. Funny thing is, it hasn't crashed on me since I upgraded to winxp even without executor..

Are you using lewpys glide pluggin? I think some other people with crashing\freezing problems with epsxe found that setting the game resolution to something other than your desktop resolution fixes the crashes also..

I used to have that problem with windows98. So I updated my Voodoo3 drivers and no longer had the problem.

Just follow fivefeet8s advice and use ePSXeCutor. I suppose you could also use the -nogui switch but ePSXeCutor is more comfortable! I had the same crash problem and was able to solve it this way. Thanks!
