Wild Arms 2 hangs after company info in ePSXe

Hey all,

I have been trying to run Wild Arms 2 (US) in ePSXe, but it hangs after displaying the company logos, right before it loads the intro movie.

Could anyone know what this problem is?

What does everyone run the game with?

I can run the game fine in Virtual Game Station, but ePSXe hangs.

Is there something special I have to do?

Have you tried BIOS SCPH-7500 or 7502? In 1.40 those are the only two BIOS ROMs that will get past the company logos. I haven't tried with 1.50 yet, though that was listed as fixed.

Just change your bios from scph1001 to scph7502 and it will work!!

Nope, doesn´t work for me, tried running from ISO and Daemon tools too - no effect

Gonna retry tomorrow, if that fails too...
no idea.
Using ePSXe 1.50, Pete´s OGL plugin 1.58 and internal sound.

Disable accurate CD-Rom timing. Pray it will work!

I dunno WHAT I have changed as I´m pretty sure I had CD status disabeled before, but now it works.
Maybe I just used up all bad karma when my Wild Arms 1 CD broke...

I'm sure I said disable accurate cdrom timing. But it's okay. Congratulation! (able to play WA2)
